An inspection will include a visual review of the following components:

 

  • Engineering reports, assesments, depreciation reports and any other documentation related to the health and construction of the bulding

  • Roofs

  • Exterior

  • Structure

  • Electrical

  • Heating

  • Ventilation

  • Air conditioning / heat pumps

  • Plumbing

  • Interior

  • A general visual observation of other select units in the complex (strata) will be made from the exterior, as problems with other units could result in added costs to the purchaser. Note that it is not an industry standard or requirement of home inspectors to review other units, but HammerHead Inspection Services believes in providing as much useful information as possible to our clients.

* For Strata units, HHIS will review all engineering reports, assesments and any documentation related to the health and construction of the building. Note that these documents must be provided by the client (ask your realtor), and HHIS recommends the client review ALL documentation related to the building for as many years back as possible (HHIS recommends minimum 10 years) prior to the inspection, so any questions or concerns can be answered by HHIS.
